| The
Ohio Coleopterists was founded in 1992
and was formally constituted as a nonprofit organization at a meeting
on 30 May 1998, at the Museum of Biological Diversity on the Ohio
State University campus in Columbus.
The official organ of the The Ohio Coleopterists
is "The Ohio Coleopterist" (appropriately titled). The logo of
"The Ohio Coleopterist" reflects the primary interests of two of the
organization's founding members: a head-on view of a carabid representing
Kip Will's favorites, and a cerambycid reflecting Bob Androw's entomological
passion. This quarterly
publication is edited by Dr. David J. Horn and R. Chris Stanton and
contains editorials, current news, and announcements of upcoming
activities. To view or order back issues of "The Ohio Coleopterist" please
